Personal information refers to any information, whether recorded in a material form or not, from which the identity of an individual is apparent or can be reasonably and directly ascertained by the entity holding the information, or when put together with other information would directly and certainly identity an individual
Personal information from a student, employee or stakeholder may be collected, stored and processed in the natural course of the business of the University. Pursuant to Rule V, Sec. 21 of the Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) of the Data Privacy Act, the processing of personal information is allowed, whenever the processing is necessary to pursue the legitimate interests of the personal information controller, or by a third party or parties to whom the data is disclosed, including its use in the official online platforms of the University or when the data subject must have given his or her consent prior to the collection, or as soon as practicable and reasonable. The use and processing of said personal information pursuant to the preceding paragraph shall only remain valid for the purposes and period where such information is necessary for the business of the University.

It has designed reasonable administrative, physical and technical measures, privacy programs and governance, and protocols, to protect your records against threats and risks and to prevent loss, misuse and alteration.
To the maximum extent and for the period allowed by law and required by the nature of circumstances, AU may use personal information to pursue its legitimate objectives as an educational institution, including academic, administrative, research, historical, and statistical purposes.
As may be allowed by the law and for the period allowed by the law and required by the nature of circumstances, AU may share, disclose or transfer personal information to other persons or organizations in order to uphold your interests and/or pursue the University's legitimate interests.
By filling-up this form as well as signing in the space below, voluntary consent is given to the collection processing and use of personal information for the legitimate purposes of the University or any of its authorized representative in accordance with the existing policies and regulations on data privacy.
