The wheels of destiny begin to turn as two hundred thirty four Arellano barristers proudly march into Dela Salle University on Taft Avenue to take the month-long bar examinations. Led by 2007 class valedictorian and cum laude Cheryll Grace Montealegre, this year's barristers are expected to surpass last year's passing rate and hopefully bag spots in the coveted top 10.
There are fifhteen Arellano Law Academic Society (ALAS) members who will take this year's exams.
In an interview, Dr, Florentino S. Cayco, III, Director for Personnel and Administration said, "I'm confident that more than one of the barristers will land in the top 10."
However, Dr. Cayco cannot stress enough how important prayers are. "Pray. Pray. Pray. Diyos na lang ang kakampi mo sa dulo. Our Lady of Piat will watch the checking. Marami ang magagawa ng prayer."
Supreme Court Associate Justice Dante O. Tinga is the Chairman of the 2008 Committee on bar examinations.
Meanwhile, bar subjects are schedule in the following order. Political Law and Labor Social Legislations, first Sunday; Civil Law and Taxation second Sunday; Criminal Law and Taxation third Sunday; and finally , Remedial Law and Legal Ethics and Practical exercises fourth Sunday.
