In accordance with Section 4 of LEB Memorandum Order No. 2. Series of 2013 and the existing academic policies of Arellano University School of Law, the following revised guidelines on pre-requisite subjects are hereby implemented:

LEB MEMORANDUM ORDER (LEBMO)
No. 5
Series of 2016

Subject: GUIDELINES FOR THE PRE-REQUISITE SUBJECT IN THE BASIC LAW COURSES.

Pursuant to the power of the Legal Education Board (LEB) to prescribe the basic curricula for law courses under Section 7(f) of Republic Act No. 7662, entitled the legal Education Reform Act of 1993, and Section 4 of LEB Memorandum Order No. 2 Series of 2013, the following guidelines on the pre-requisite subjects are hereby promulgated:

1. Table of Pre-Requisites Subjects - The Table of Pre-Requisite Subjects below shall be followedin determining what subjects need to be taken and passed by students in the basic law courses before being allowed to take the advance subjects:

2. Credits - No credits shall be given to advanced subjects taken unless the student has completed and passed the pre-requisite subjects prescribed in the above Table of Pre-Requisites.

3. Transitory Provision - For students who have commenced their law studies before the effectivity of this Memorandum Order, the pre-requisites shall be strictly enforced for the year levels and subjects that they will take beginning in AY 2017-2018.

4. Penal Clause - Violations of this Memorandum Order shall be treated as unlawful act of the law school under Section 30 of the LEBMO No. 2, Series of 2013 and subject to theimposition of any of the sanctions under Section 32 of the same regulation.

5. Effectivity - This Memorandum Order shall become effective fifteen (15)days after publication in a newspaper of general circulations and filing with the University of the Philippines Law Center.
